The natural by-product of the waste2zero awards is to encourage all businesses to take the issue more seriously and to get actively involved in its management and prevention.

Matt Johnson, Managing Director, Bunzl catering & Hospitality Division commented: “As headline sponsors of the waste2zero Awards for the third consecutive year, we’re proud to support an initiative that showcases best practice and recognises excellence in waste management and prevention in the foodservice industry.

As part of our Sustainable Future programme, we continue to provide the best possible advice to our customers on sustainable products and material types, working together to embed a reduce-reuse-recycle methodology in line with forthcoming legislation and to prevent waste.

We are committed to our UN Sustainable Development Goals – focused on the areas where we believe we can have the most impact: Good Health and Wellbeing, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water and Life on Land.”
