New factsheets on how food packaging legislation affects catering operators
Three new factsheets on single-use food packaging explain how latest legislation affects operators in the catering and hospitality industry.
This week, Bunzl Catering Supplies has launched three new Sustainable Future factsheets, each providing a simple summary on the latest food packaging legislation likely to affect operators in the catering and hospitality industry.
Focusing on the EU Single Use Plastics Directive, the H.M. Treasury Plastic Packaging Tax and the Government Resources and Waste Strategy – the factsheets present a clear picture of forthcoming legislation, what the key areas of change are likely to be, as well as critical implementation dates.
“Forthcoming legislation will present businesses with significant challenges in the years ahead, but with this information, customers can start to plan ahead.” says Justin Turquet, Head of Sustainability at Bunzl Catering Supplies, he continues: “The ability for us to understand and act upon these Government initiatives will play a crucial part in how we can help our customers going forward.
