Recycling – plastic family groups
Ask the Expert: Jo Gilroy (Head of Sustainability).
We asked our Sustainability expert ‘Which plastic family group is the easiest to recycle’?
And here’s what she told us…
The answer is that it totally depends on the recycler who is receiving the product. But generally speaking, on the market at the moment, LDPE, HDPE and PP are the most desirable. Unfortunately, due to the declining oil price, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a recycler who will take PET.
