LifeVac® non-invasive Airway Clearance Device®

Published On: 28th February 2025

Bunzl Catering Supplies can now supply LifeVac®, a registered and regulated non-invasive Airway Clearance Device®, to the catering and hospitality industry. LifeVac® is a regulated medical device to be used in the event of choking when first aid fails or cannot be performed. Manufactured in the UK with a patented one-way safety valve, the LifeVac® is CE & UKCA marked.

First aid choking protocol is only 70% effective in a perfect situation. This is even less for people with a physical disability who cannot receive current first aid techniques. LifeVac® is a legal option for any person, business, or setting to use in a choking emergency when first aid fails or cannot be performed.

Due to the patented one-way safety valve, LifeVac® can be applied when someone is sitting, standing or laying down. LifeVac® is designed with a patented valve to prevent any air from exiting through the mask. This patented designed valve prevents air from pushing food or objects downward, this creates a one-way suction to remove the lodged food or object.

MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) is warning the public not to buy counterfeit or unbranded anti-choking devices as they do not comply with device regulations and could cause harm.
