Bunzl Catering Supplies is delighted to hear that it has been shortlisted for the FPA Corporate and Social Responsibility Award for its SHINE games charity initiative.  The SHINE Games were held between June 24 and July 5, 2024, and were designed to unite Bunzl staff, promote wellbeing, and raise funds for three partner charities: Cancer Research UK, MIND, and NIA Children’s Foundation. The initiative was a collaborative effort involving 20 Bunzl team members who meticulously planned the event over 16 weeks.

The SHINE Games raised an impressive £27,000 for Cancer Research UK, MIND, and NIA Children’s Foundation, exceeding fundraising goals and making a tangible impact. Cancer Research UK praised the initiative, stating: “The advancements in medical science and the life-saving work we do wouldn’t be possible without the passion and commitment of supporters like you and your teams.” Of the total, £8,867 funded areas such as research scientists, lab equipment, clinical trials, and cancer information nurses.
