GOJO wins Environmental Champion award

Published On: 20th June 2016

GOJO Industries-Europe have been awarded the ACM Greener Path Land Diversion Award and are leading the way in environmental performance by achieving ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ during 2015.

Last year, GOJO launched their GOJO 2020 Sustainable Value Strategies and Goals and this award recognises their exceptional performance in waste and recycling operations and sets the bar high within industry.

ACM, a total waste management solutions company, created the Greener Path Awards to celebrate the great work businesses across the UK are doing in reducing the impact they have on the environment.  Businesses who have demonstrated exemplary effort and achievement in minimising waste, boosting recycling and increasing landfill diversion while seeking out innovative and sustainable ways to handle waste streams, deserve to be recognised amongst their peers, their industry and the wider UK economy.

Mike Sullivan, Managing Director from GOJO Industries-Europe said: “This award is a significant accolade for us. It recognises the great efforts we’ve made to redesign our waste and recycling operations and to achieve one of our goals for sustainable value which is to steward a thriving environment. We aim to recover and either reuse or recycle 50% of dispenser materials from the value chain and power our distribution operations by renewable energy.

“The GOJO Purpose, Saving Lives and Making Life Better through Well-Being Solutions, continues to inspire our deep commitment to creating sustainable value – that is social, environmental and economic – for GOJO and our customers, suppliers, staff and the wider GOJO community.”
