Justin Turquet Wins ‘Chair’s Award’ at annual FPA Awards 2025
The annual FPA Awards 2025 took place on Thursday 13 March at The Grand Hotel in Brighton. The FPA is the voice of the foodservice packaging industry, working hard to secure the future of the sector. Hosted by renowned comedian and actor Tom Allen, the FPA Awards 2025 is one of the highlight occasions of the foodservice packaging sector and celebrates the best in the industry.
This year, the FPA Chair’s Award was awarded to Justin Turquet, Sustainability Director at Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division. The Chair’s Award is an award for longstanding and dedicated service to the FPA and the foodservice packaging industry. Justin was nominated for his invaluable insight across the spectrum of environmental, materials, and legislative discussion within the FPA SAGA (Sustainability And Government Affairs) committee. He was specially commended on his contribution to the committee, bringing forward expertise that the forum would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
Justin Turquet, Sustainability Director, Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, said: “I am delighted to win the Chair’s Award for my contribution to the foodservice packaging industry as part of the FPA. I enjoy building partnerships with our people, suppliers and customers to provide a clear and transparent pathway through the circular economy, material responsibility, and incoming legislation. A huge thanks go to my colleagues at Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division who support my work in this area and drive our market-leading Sustainable Future programme. My congratulations go to all the nominees and winners at the prestigious FPA awards.”
The awards also included the Manufacturer Award sponsored by Bunzl Catering Supplies, which was awarded to GO-PAK, with Amipak, Metsä Tissue, and Northwood as runner ups. Winner of the FPA 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Award, sponsored by Tork, an Essity brand, was Vegware for the Vegware Community Fund, with Bunzl Catering Supplies coming highly commended for its SHINE Games charity initiative.
Anna Turner, interim executive chair, FPA, said: “The FPA Awards recognise the hard work, dedication and innovation of both individuals and businesses, each setting an example for the packaging sector. The winners are a shining example of how innovative packaging businesses can respond to the immense challenges faced by the packaging sector and come out on top. Many congratulations to all this year’s winners and finalists, and our thanks to our sponsors for the support they provide, which helped us to raise the bar for attendees yet again this year”.
