Bunzl Catering Supplies shortlisted in prestigious waste2zero Awards 2024

Published On: 18th October 2024

With the issue of waste and sustainability remaining a focus in the hospitality industry, as part of its Sustainable Future programme, Bunzl Catering Supplies is once again headline sponsor for the prestigious ‘Footprint’ waste2zero Awards, recognising excellence in Waste Management and Prevention in the out of home food and drink sector. The business is also delighted to learn that it has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Recycling or Up-cycling Project’ award category.

An elite panel of judges, experts in waste, packaging and sustainability, review innovations and initiatives from organisations large and small in areas such as resource management, closed loop, recycling and food redistribution. Clear leadership is evident from some organisations in the sector who are demonstrating operational strategies that reduce waste impacts to the environment up and down supply chains.

The objective of waste2zero – the first awards of its kind when it was launched in 2017 and now in its eighth annual cycle – is to specifically give the out of home industry a platform to showcase best practice and recognise excellence in this vital area. The entry deadline for the annual waste2zero has now closed – and the shortlist of nominees has been announced.

Bunzl Catering Supplies entered the waste2zero Awards with its Verive range of reusable food packaging and Verive 360° – a service offer that helps catering operators implement and utilise reusables in a circular system, at events, in-house or on-the-go.  We are delighted to announce that we are officially on the short list and look forward the Awards dinner taking place in November at the In & Out Club in St James’s Square.
