Commercial fryers and grills are tough to clean and can be hard to reach too, causing many kitchens to resort to creating their own makeshift tools.

These were the key findings from research carried out by a 3M team from the United States that spent two years observing how chefs clean their fryers and grills. They discovered that in order to clean between the tubes and small spaces, many were attaching scourers to a long tube because no tool existed that was versatile enough to reach all the dirt that collected on the appliances.

3M took this opportunity to create the adjustable Scotch-Brite™ Fryer and Kitchen Cleaning Tool, designed to make cleaning a variety of commercial kitchen appliances faster and safer.
