There’s a right royal party brewing this summer
PG tips is calling on operators to throw a right royal par-tea for The Patron’s Lunch on June 12th. The crowning event in a weekend of national celebration, the Patron’s Lunch is the perfect excuse to raise a cuppa to toast Her Majesty – and an excellent opportunity for operators to boost their tea sales too.
To help you celebrate in style, PG tips – who is supporting the Patron’s Lunch – is giving away thousands of Par-Tea Boxes. The boxes include flags, bunting, a recipe book and a Par-Tea guide. To get your hands on a box, all you have to do is purchase any case of PG tips promotional 1150s – while stocks last.
You could also win one of 1000s of giveaways, with a scratch card inside each pack of ‘Royal-tea’ PG tips 1150s. Prizes include: ‘keep it tea’ shopping bags, limited edition cup & saucers, commemorative tea towels, aprons and cake slices. Plus the jewel in the crown: a trip for two to London!
Rhodri Morgan, PG tips marketing manager, said: “Tea is the nation’s favourite drink, with 165m cups consumed every day[1]. Research also reveals that consumers are now drinking tea more often – finding more occasions throughout the day to drink it[2].
Sitting down for a tea is a highly social occasion, and a traditionally British one at that. So what better excuse could there be for venues to make tea the hero of the celebrations? That’s why we’re asking operators to throw a party to mark the occasion of the Queen’s Birthday with the Patron’s Lunch. Tapping into Britain’s love of tea and boost their tea sales.”
PG tips monkey, said: “Hello chums, in case you hadn’t heard – there’s a right royal party brewing this summer and there’s only one way to celebrate it… with a proper cuppa. And with a scratch card in every pack of PG tips 1150s – the more tea you sell the better your chances of winning some top goodies. So get involved and encourage your customers to celebrate the day with a proper brew.”
