‘Evolve’ recycled PET hot cup lids

Published On: 30th April 2025

Bunzl Catering Supplies has launched an innovative recycled PET lid designed specifically for hot cups*. Manufactured from up to 85%** recycled PET plastic and widely recyclable via kerbside recycling schemes, the innovative ‘Evolve’ hot cup lid boasts a secure lift and lock lid design that reduces the risk of spillage. Whether it’s the morning rush or an afternoon pick-me-up, the ‘Evolve’ recycled PET hot cup lid delivers practicality, functionality, and the opportunity to support a sustainable future.

The lids have a standard 90mm rim diameter that typically fits 12oz and 16oz hot drink cups, and they come in a natural ‘Evolve’ green colour. ‘Evolve’ food packaging solutions are made from post-consumer recycled content and can be fully recycled into new food packaging after use. The unique green colour of ‘Evolve’ recycled PET lids reflects the specific blend of recycled material in the lids and clearly signals to consumers that they are making a sustainable choice.

No extra colour is added during recycling and production, so the colour of each lid reflects the recycled material that it is made from. It also guarantees that Evolve products can be reliably detected using current sorting technologies because they have been detected before.
