Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with Union Jack themed food packaging and tableware
Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee this June, marking 70 years of service since her ascension to the throne. To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year, culminating in a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. The bank holiday will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone.
To help hospitality operators cater for these special celebrations and events, Bunzl Catering Supplies has launched a new range of Union Jack themed food packaging and tableware products, featuring hot food containers, meal boxes and paper napkins.
The British flag themed Smitten about Britain range, from supplier Colpac, celebrates the Platinum Jubilee by providing a wide range of practical packaging options in a fun and commemorative design, including a multi-food box, tray, clamshell and scoop. Manufactured in the UK, the Smitten about Britain range is made from commercially compostable (EN13432) white board and is suitable for an exciting variety of hot and cold food.
Also from supplier Colpac, a new design meal box, displaying a bold Union Jack design, provides the perfect vessel for serving fast food, party treats or gifts during the Platinum Jubilee or any other British themed celebration. Manufactured in the UK and made from commercially compostable (EN13432) and FSC® white board, Union Jack meal boxes are delivered flat for optimum storage but are super easy to assemble.
To create a fun and festive tabletop during the Platinum Jubilee, food packaging can be complemented with new Union Jack design paper napkins from supplier Swantex. Featuring a striking Union Jack design, the practical 33 cm 2 ply napkins will create a fun and celebratory feeling on any tabletop. Manufactured in the UK and made from FSC® certified paper, these napkins are hard wearing and perfect for outside catering and party occasions.
