Sustainable product innovation
In 2023, Bunzl Catering Supplies re-launched its range of renewable food packaging, Sustain, via a dedicated 32-page brochure and featuring the new Sustain Agri Bag. This was followed in March 2024 by the launch of a new range of reusable food packaging called Verive, supported by Verive 360° – a pioneering service solution that helps customers use reusables in a fully circular system.
Sustain – renewable food packaging
Made from renewable resources and/or compostable with EN13432 certification. Sustain products labelled compostable are fully compostable in commercial composting facilities and will break down into reusable compost within 12 weeks. All compostable products should be placed in a dedicated compostables bin to ensure they are sent for composting.

Verive – reusable food packaging
Specifically designed for a circular take-use return programme, Verive products are suitable for repeat cleaning in a dishwasher. After multiple reuse and at the end of its full lifespan, Verive products identified as recyclable can be placed in a dedicated recyclables bin to be sent to a material recovery facility for recycling.
Verive 360° helps customers implement and utilise reusables in a circular system, by providing deposit return with QR code and/or RFID technology and a fully supported collect, wash and return system.
