A Visit Rooted in Purpose and Partnership – Bunzl Catering Supplies Visit Amplify Goods.
On a very warm Monday morning this Summer, Lara Hodgson, Sustainability and Innovation Buyer at Bunzl Catering Supplies, and Jodie White, Marketing Manager at Bunzl Catering Supplies, arrived at the Crisis warehouse in Canning Town, London, home to the social enterprise Amplify Goods. The visit was hosted by Pasha Coupet Michaelsen, co-founder of Amplify Goods, who stepped in for co-founder Camilla Marcus-Dew.
This meeting was more than a courtesy call – it was a celebration of shared values and a deepening of a partnership that exemplifies what business 2.0 can look like. Founded in 2021 by Camilla and Pasha after meeting on the On Purpose Leadership Programme, Amplify Goods is a 100% diverse, women-owned and led UK social enterprise. Certified by WeConnect, OutBritain, and SEUK, the company is committed to reimagining business as a force for good.
Experiencing Impact Firsthand
The visit gave Lara and Jodie the opportunity to see Amplify Goods’ mission in action. They were introduced to the team, shown the quality control and hand-packing process, and given access to the company’s Impact Calculator and the latest slides on their emerging SUDZERØ product line that’s designed for circularity and Net Zero. Every 4L sachet of SUDZERØ creates 1 minute of paid work for homeless and disabled people and weighs 98% less than the liquid alternative. These resources highlighted how Amplify Goods is not only reducing its environmental footprint but also strengthening its social handprint—creating suds and scents that support a circular economy and open doors for those often excluded from work opportunities.
The visit also aligned with Bunzl Catering Supplies’ exclusive brand re:mind—a luxury hand and body care line developed in collaboration with Amplify Goods. The range, which includes 5L refills of hand and body wash and 1L pouches of nourishing lotion, is designed to encourage refill and reuse-first while creating real social value, plus at least 50% of Amplify Goods profits go to supporting mental health initiatives and projects protecting nature and wildlife. re:mind Hand and Body Care is made from 96–99% naturally-derived ingredients – free from artificial perfumes, dyes, harsh detergents, and preservatives. The refills are paired with a choice of premium 500ml dishwasher safe glass bottles or great value recycled PET bottles, hand-labelled and packed by Amplify Goods using upcycled cardboard waste from local businesses, creating valuable paid work experience for homeless and disabled people.
Looking Ahead
The collaboration between Bunzl and Amplify Goods is a model of how corporate and social enterprises can work together to drive meaningful change. As Lara Hodgson commented: “The aim of our visit was to see all the good work and social enterprise in action, and that goal was clearly met.” The visit has laid the groundwork for further marketing initiatives and opportunities that will amplify the impact of both organisations.
