Part of the Label 2 Go service is Caterlabel, our online system that allows caterers to create, find and print food packaging labels on site using a computer with an internet connection and a printer.

Printing labels with information including use by date, price, nutrients, QUID and GDA’s, Caterlabel removes the worry of meeting current legislation by always being up-to-date and compliant with current regulations. Caterlabel has already been updated to bold allergens in ingredients lists when ‘ticked’ as present by the caterer, meeting new food information regulations that came into force in December 2014.

To ensure exclusive brand product consistency and that our manufacturers conform to the high standards demanded by the Bunzl Ethical Sourcing Policy, the Bunzl Asia Office in Shanghai operates a dedicated vendor compliance team, auditing suppliers, conducting factory audits, evaluating their QA/QC Management and Social Responsibility Management Systems. Additionally, random pre-shipment inspections are conducted on products from our own testing facility; analysing and measuring against a pre-determined specification to national and international standards, the type of material used, proportion of heavy metals, tensile strength, pin hole testing and filler content of plastics amongst others.
